Words could never express what an amazing, wonderful child Travis was.. His strength, bravery and stubbornness kept us on our toes from the very beginning. It was like he just couldn't get enough of life.. He was constantly on the go- looking for new adventures. We did everything with him. Disney all the time, four-wheeling, camping, tubing.. He got to see the beach and snow. He loved reading books and singing songs.. even making up his own little songs..
There were so many things that he got to do and enjoy in his short life. I am so glad that we didn't wait..
I am very thankful that we had him in our lives.
I just wish it would have been for a longer period of time. Not a moment goes by that I don't miss his smile, laugh and big blue eyes.
The night before he died, we were making up his bedtime story together.
"There was a little boy, named Travis had super powers that made him.. "
He said "fly."
I asked him where Travis would fly to.
He said "way up high.. over the clouds and over the airplanes.. and high as the stars."
That was the last bedtime story we had.
My sweet little boy, I hope you are flying as high as the stars and even further...
